About
I’m Miranda, the two hands behind Small Town Clay. I found clay over 11 years ago while in college and have had my hands in the mud ever since. I work out of a private home studio nestled in the Shenandoah Valley.
My work is primarily sold online but occasionally you can find me at local festivals/events and small shops throughout my community.
Recently, I have began sharing my new found love for sewing and upcycling antique & vintage quilts. I love to take these beautiful, well-loved quilts and give them a second life. They might become a jacket, a tote bag, a big bow or a headband. Each unique piece gets a little "made by m" tag sewn into it and I must admit that is my favorite part, a sweet little touch.
You’ll most likely see my four-legged studio assistant Winnie as the star of the show if you stick around. She’s my seven year old labradoodle, best pal, studio mate and essentially the co-CEO of Small Town Clay.
I’m just a simple small town gal with a love for clay, thrifting, hobbies and slow living like you wouldn’t believe and I’m so grateful to have you following along on my journey!
